Part-Time Support Worker

We are seeking to fill Part-Time Direct Support Worker Positions. Our Direct Support Workers are a vital part of our organization as they support people with developmental disabilities to explore their goals and dreams, share their unique talents and gifts, and be active members of their community
As a Part-Time Support Worker, you will work a rotational schedule. We have a mix of day & evening rotations and awake night rotations. Must be willing to work weekends. You will be regularly scheduled 16- 20 hours per week, with the potential to pick up additional shifts, based on the needs of the people we support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist the people we support to actively participate in community programs and events of their choosing
· Provide support to participate in their homes, schools, workplaces, and community
· Provide some personal care assistance and/or assistance with medication administration, as required
· Promote the agency’s mission and values and be a positive role model while interacting in the community
· Communicate regularly with the team, coordinators, and managers
· Be flexible to change at any time as each person directs their choice of activities
· Work effectively with individuals, other staff, families, and the community
· Ensure the accuracy and complete all documentation as required
· Work in a safe and responsible manner and attend mandatory training as required
Qualifications/Skills
· You are compassionate with a strong desire to make a difference for the people in your community
· You are innovative and enthusiastic and enjoy thinking in a creative way to help people with developmental disabilities achieve a high quality of life
· You enjoy working with people and are a strong team player
· You are available to work days/evenings or overnights, including weekends on a rotation
· You have post-secondary education in a Human Services related field or are willing to participate in training to achieve the required qualifications
· You have a current First Aid/CPR certificate or are willing to get one
· Able to proceed with a satisfactory Vulnerable sector criminal reference check
· Comfortable with technology, including internet and email
· As per CLNP policy, all staff must be able to show proof of full vaccination plus one booster against Covid-19 or be willing to comply with the policy.
Salary: $23 per hour plus $3.00 wage enhancement (Total $26 per hour)

Full-Time Support Worker

We are seeking Full Time Direct Support Workers in our Residential homes. Our Direct Support Workers are a vital part of our team as they support people with developmental disabilities to live their lives to the fullest, explore their goals and dreams, share their unique talents and gifts, and be active members of their community
As a Full Time, Support Worker, you will work a 40-hour-per-week rotation of days and evenings and must be able to work weekends.

Program Supervisor
JOB TITLE: Program Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Program Manager
LOCATION: Listowel Main Office
HOURS: 40 hours per week
The Program Supervisor reports directly to the designated Program Manager and is a member
of the leadership team for Community Living North Perth (CLNP). The Supervisor is responsible
to plan, organize, direct and lead their assigned program areas. They coordinate staff and
ensure the provision of high-quality services to the people supported by CLNP. The Supervisor
provides leadership and supervision to their teams through coaching, mentoring and developing
a positive team environment. The Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy
environment for the people supported by CLNP, and all staff, volunteers and visitors. This role
requires advocacy, championship and promotion of the philosophy, values and strategic
directions of CLNP.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Works collaboratively with managers, supervisors and other staff to ensure programs and services are delivered in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures, and in compliance with Ministry and legislative requirements;

Assesses and evaluates programs on a regular basis to ensure quality and effectiveness of
-
assigned program area;

Maintains accurate records and program documentation;
-
Coordinates and manages the resources allocated to assigned program area;
-
Participates in recruiting, hiring, orientation and training of new staff and assists with the
-
maintenance of the organization’s HR records and documentation;
-
Plans, assigns and directs the work of current staff and monitors and ensures staff are completing their duties and responsibilities;
-
Communicates performance expectations and accountability for all staff in assigned program area, including evaluating and managing performance;
-
Encourages skill and professional development and acts as a mentor and coach to guide staff in problem solving and decision making;
-
Ensures communication through regular team meetings;
-
Manages the financial, physical and human resources allocated to the assigned program areas, and provides data and reports to inform organization resource planning;
-
Manages relationships with the people supported by CLNP and their caregivers, including communicating about service concerns and addressing complaints;
-
Ensures the well-being and safety of staff and the people being supported by CLNP;
-
Serves on internal and external committees and work groups, as appropriate;
-
Participates in the organization’s on-call system;
-
Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Post-Secondary degree or diploma in development or social services, community health, or a related field;
-
Three or more years of progressive supervisory experience;
-
Familiarity with unionized settings and working within the boundaries of a Collective Agreement;

Demonstrated problem solving, ability to think strategically, assess situations, set
-
priorities and decision- making skills;
-
Demonstrated willingness and ability to be adaptable, build relationships, and
-
communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and in the community;

Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products;
-
Valid Ontario Driver’s License and reliable vehicle; position requires travel in personal automobile;

Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 and maintaining vaccination status as necessary from time to time.
