Scheduling Supervisors

Community Living North Perth is seeking to fill a PT Scheduling Supervisor position (25 hours per week). Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 4 pm to 9 pm. Will participate in an on-call rotation with night-time coverage Monday to Friday between 9 pm and 6 am, and weekend on-call coverage Saturday 7 am to Monday 6 am.

  • You thrive on problem solving and extreme organization;
  • You are comfortable with technology and are an expert Excel and Word user;
  • You have education and/or equivalent work experience related to health and social services;
  • You can provide back up coverage for the scheduling team, and are able to participate in weekly and weekend on-call coverage;
  • Leadership, decision making and conflict resolution skills highly beneficial;
  • Experience in a scheduling role highly beneficial;
  • Able to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable sector police check;
  • Up-to-date COVID vaccination, including at least two vaccinations and one booster.

You will:

  • Respond to a variety of calls related to staff absences, building issues, and participant concerns.
  • Redeploy staff as needed and support program-specific scheduling needs in accordance with the provisions of the Collective Agreement, Employment Standards Act, CLNP’s policies and procedures and applicable legislation.
  • Use Excel, Word and scheduling software to maintain complete and accurate documentation and communication around schedules and shift changes.
  • Record and approve all time and attendance.
  • Provide supervision, direction and guidance to staff to ensure programs are adequately staffed, participant needs are met, and resolve problems escalated by support staff, ensuring support staff and participants’ wellbeing and safety are prioritized.
  • Inform management of emerging issues and feedback regarding support staff performance and attendance issues.
  • Communicates confidentially and professionally information and instructions both written and verbal to staff, families, management.
  • Assist management with recruitment of support staff: reviewing resumes, screening candidates, interviewing, reference checking, onboarding, training, etc.; and other administrative HR duties.

Compensation Details

  • Starting wage $29.43 per hour
  • Overtime at 1.5 times hourly over 40 hours worked in a week
  • RRSP and Benefits
  • $35.00 for each overnight on-call shift ($105 per on-call weekend)
