Community Living North Perth is seeking to fill a Full-Time Group Living Program Supervisor position. This position will oversee group living programs for individuals with developmental disabilities requiring 24/7 care. Hours of work will generally be Monday to Friday, with flexibility to address emergencies or participate in on-call rotations. The work location for this position will primarily be at our office in Listowel, ON.
About You
- You are passionate about fostering inclusion, respect, and person-centered care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- You are a skilled leader, capable of coaching and mentoring staff in a positive team environment.
- You have extensive knowledge of MCCSS Compliance and Accreditation Canada standards.
- You are comfortable delegating and supervising controlled acts, including medication administration, in compliance with legislation.
- You thrive in managing program compliance, audits, and clinical oversight with attention to detail.
- You have experience in supporting individuals with challenging behaviors, dual diagnoses, and complex medical needs.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office and documentation systems.
- You hold a valid G-Class driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
- You can provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- You are up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations, including at least two doses and one booster.
Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Post-secondary education in developmental or social services, community health, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Minimum three years of supervisory experience, preferably in group living or healthcare settings.
- Experience working in unionized settings and familiarity with Collective Agreements.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
You will:
- Provide team leadership, coaching, and mentoring to foster a positive, respectful work environment.
- Oversee the development and implementation of person-directed individual support plans.
- Conduct audits of documentation, medication records, and site compliance to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensure staff are trained in Safe Management techniques and protocols.
- Manage program administration, including documentation, financial reporting, and rental/service agreements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and monitor behavior support plans.
- Build strong relationships with individuals supported by CLNP, their families, and caregivers.
- Participate in recruiting, hiring, and training of new staff.
- Serve in the organization’s on-call rotation and contribute to emergency preparedness planning.
Compensation Details
- Starting wage: $35.59 per hour
- Full-time hours Monday to Friday with flexibility to address emergencies and to participate in on call rotation.
